Oddity 1 WOWs

When you say that 'different is a dead word,' I do think that you hit on something of importance. The content of this first issue, along with your inclusion of those with whom you are working, exemplifies this urgency of what's, in fact, possible with intentionality. I look forward to seeing these first steps continue into the deep future, many issues of good and challenging work by those of many backgrounds and perspectives. If there are 'golden ears,' as Ginsberg once said to Robert Creeley, to which all writers and artists, both new and established, depend, then I suspect that 'The Odd' will demonstrate itself among them. You've my sincere well-wishes, be sure.

Matthew, I much like your poems. Often, not unlike many of us, I have not had the strength to 'open the margarine jar.' But then life is like that and, fortunately, we are still here.

The poems display the poet's uncanny talent for raw emotion in lifeless imagery. Marvellous!

Poems brings out depth in simplicity of life. "The new bridge" is the outstanding example of the same.
